St. John Providence Health System announces interim president of Brighton Hospital

St. John Providence Health System announced today that new interim president, Daniel J. McCormick, will lead the Brighton Hospital administration and its addiction treatment mission. The previous president of Brighton Hospital, Denise Bertin-Epp has taken a position with Guest House, of Lake Orion, MI.

Earlier this month, the Brighton Hospital Board of Directors conducted a national search process and selected Mr. McCormick to join Brighton Hospital. McCormick began his full-time duties in this role effective September 14, 2010.

Dan comes to Brighton Hospital most recently from the Hazelden Foundation in Minneapolis, MN, an international leader in addiction treatment and recovery services, where he held the role of Interim President & Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to his role at Hazelden Foundation, Mr. McCormick held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN, which provides a comprehensive range of primary and secondary services.

Daniel J. McCormick received his MHA in Health Care Administration and his BS in Administration/Finance from The University of Minnesota. He resides in Livingston County, MI.
